I’ve read a lot of books of WW2 and the French resistance and this book took all of them and put them into a single book. The book is extremely well researched, the story lines seamlessly flows between the point of view of Vianne and Isabell and between the 1940s and 1995. This is an emotionally engaging read that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Truly a great book.
