The Rose Code

by Kate Quinn

Historical Fiction | 5⭐️ | 3/9/21 | William Morrow

On the brink of World War 2, three women are called to work at the mysterious Bletchley Park, England. Osla, Mab, and Beth are tasked with helping to break German codes. Their friendships are strained under the usual conditions and secrecy. Having lost touch, they are pulled back together after the war to solve one last code.

I wasn’t actually sure what I was expecting when I started this book. However, I had a hard time putting it down! The story line was intriguing. Despite the large cast of characters, the author did a great job at weaving the story lines together. Each chapter drew you in and wouldn’t let you go. This is a wonderful story of female friendships. It is set against the backdrop of Bletchley Park’s important and impactful work. It even has a guest appearance from Prince Phillip! This book is the perfect blend of historical fact and fiction that comes together to entertain and teach you something. I highly recommend.
